Lockheed Martin Commercial Flight Training has signed a contract to provide two flight stimulators for Airbus for use in the latter’s training centers in Mexico.
Lockheed said Monday the frame contract aims to facilitate collaboration on future training initiatives and purchase of flight stimulation systems between the two companies.
“With this frame contract in place, we look forward to a long and productive partnership with Airbus in support of flight training needs around the world,†said Sandy Samuel, vice president and general manager of LMCFT.
LMCFT is scheduled to deliver the A320 flight stimulators to Airbus’ training facilities in Monterrey and Mexico City later this year and in early 2016, according to Lockheed.
LMCFT provides aviation training services and stimulation devices for Boeing 737, 767, 787, 777 and Airbus A320 and A330/340 aircraft.
