German-based BASF SE has selected Fluor Corp. as a global engineering partner to deliver chemical and petrochemical plant services worldwide.
Fluor said Tuesday it would perform engineering, procurement, project management, construction management and other services under the partnership.
Peter Oosterveer, Fluor’s chief operating officer, said the company would provide chemical and petrochemical plant projects for BASF worldwide by leveraging the company’s global reach.
Fluor plans to carry out BASF’s global plant projects using its network of offices worldwide.
Oosterveer, Martin Buschbacher, BASF senior vice president of global indirect procurement, Wolfgang Haas, BASF president of legal, taxes and insurance, and Volker Knabe, BASF president of engineering and maintenance inked the services agreement in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
