Eight companies with headquarters in Fairfax County, Va. — including four government contractors – have been cited on Fortune magazine’s “Fortune 500” list for 2015.
Based on 2014 revenues, the GovCon firms named to the magazine’s list are General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, Computer Sciences Corp., and Booz Allen Hamilton, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority said Thursday.
Gerald L. Gordon, FCEDA president and CEO, said the county’s skilled workforce, educational systems and quality of life are among the factors that help promote the growth of businesses in the area.
Freddie Mac, Capital One Financial, Hilton Worldwide Holdings and Gannett with headquarters in the county also made it on the list.
