partnershipParsons, Vinci and other partners in the SaskLink Global Transportation Partners consortium will partner with Saskatchewan’s ministry of highways and infrastructure on the $160.1 million construction project for the Regina Bypass in Canada.

The provincial government said May 29 that it selected SGTP as the preferred bidder or proponent on the Regina Bypass Project as part of a public-private partnership.

“After more than a decade of planning and significant consultations with municipalities, stakeholders and the general public, work will start in just a few short weeks, with the immediate priority being the long-awaited overpass at White City,” said MHI Minister Nancy Heppner.

The announcement states that the Saskatchewan government and SGTP will have an “early works agreement” ahead of the contract negotiations’ anticipated close late this summer.

Vinci said a subsidiary will operate and maintain the Regina Bypass for 30 years afterction.

“When completed, the project will ultimately improve mobility in the City of Regina by speeding up traffic flows and increasing traffic safety,” Dean Harwood, president of Parsons’ enterprises business, said in a separate announcement.
