Victory Media has selected Parsons as the top defense and GovCon firm on the publication’s 2015 “STEM Jobs Approved Employers” list of companies that offer work in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Parsons said Wednesday the list is the first to rate businesses on the effectivity of their programs to produce and fill high-growth STEM-related jobs.
“As a global engineering, construction, technical and management services firm, Parsons is committed to hiring people with the right mix of technical skills,” said Jamie Morehead, vice president of talent management at Parsons.
According to the company, it also has internship and in-school programs at local communities.
“With STEM Jobs Approved Employers, we’re able to help parents, students, educators and employers evaluate how well education is translating into real-world jobs and how responsive companies are to meeting those demands,” said Daniel Nichols, president of the STEM Jobs organization.
Other GovCon companies that made the “STEM Jobs Approved Employers” list’s top 25 include BAE Systems, Cubic Corp. and Siemens.
