LexisNexis‘ legal and professional business unit will deploy the LexisNexis Digital Library to connect New York state’s Unified Court System with digital legal reference materials and tools to manage the library collection.
The company said Tuesday LexisNexis Digital Library works as a central electronic platform that supports the virtual circulation of eBooks and other materials.
Sean Fitzpatrick, managing director of the North American research solutions business at LexisNexis, said the platform helps create a “smart library” that enables NYS UCS staff to access legal information from anywhere in the state.
Users can also share, purchase or download eBook titles to their devices as well as access legal assistance using the in-library self-help resources, the company added.
