Computer Sciences Corp. and Lockheed Martin have secured the Federal Aviation Administration‘s Direct User Access Terminal Service contract to provide self-serve flight planning services.
IFlightPlanner said Thursday the new DUATS II contracts cover one base year of work and up to four one-year options and the program’s requirements will likely be incorporated into the FAA’s future Flight Service Station contract.
The FAA plans to award the FSS contract in the third quarter of fiscal year 2017, according to iFlightPlanner.
IFlightPlanner added its own services will explore a potential added functionality from new DUATS contractor Lockheed.
