General Dynamics has developed a new National Security Agency-approved sensor software product for security operators to detect and prevent network intrusions with the company’s TACLANE-1G encryptor.

The company said Thursday the TACLANE Trusted Sensor Software features deep packet inspection components for network filtering functions and to issue alerts for users to monitor any component of a system.

TACLANE Trusted Sensor Software is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2016, General Dynamics said.

Nadia Short, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics’ cyber systems division within the company’s mission systems unit, said the company build TACLANE with the goal of “enhancing the understanding of network health.

The TACLANE cyber defense encryptor, built to work at speeds of up to 1 gigabyte per second, is designed to simultaneously receive and transmit data files and protect Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information.
