AtHocAtHoc has been awarded a two-year contract extension to continue to provide unified mass notification systems for U.S. Army installations worldwide as part of the Leidos-led Emergency Management Modernization Program.

Under the contract, the military branch will continue to use AtHoc’s IWSAlerts platforms to send crisis information and emergency alerts to servicemen and their families stationed at garrisons across the world through July 2017, the company said May 21.

Dave Acevedo, director of army operations, defense and intelligence at AtHoc, said the contract extension reflects the service’s confidence in the company’s unified mass notification systems that aim to accommodate a huge number of text messages, phone calls, emails and other forms of communications during critical events.

AtHoc works to keep personal data on IWSAlerts systems private using a hybrid deployment technology and a secure cloud platform that comply with federal regulations.
