A subsidiary of Cubic Corp. has won a $1.25 million follow-on order from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation Training and Instrumentation to provide the Lebanese armed forces with the company’s virtual skills training system.
Cubic Global Defense will deliver additional maintenance tools, shelters and logistics support services associated with its Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 system by September to the foreign military service, Cubic said Tuesday.
EST 2000 is designed to simulate small arms skills training using ballistic weapons, digital screens, computer graphics and video projection technology.
Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense, said the contract extends the company’s partnership with the U.S. Army “in support of the goals and missions of our national security and foreign policy.â€
“Cubic is committed to providing the products, services and support needed by the Lebanese armed forces to support their readiness and increase their ability to defend their nation in this important region of the world,†he added.
