Rockwell Collins and DataPath have partnered to develop global communication systems in support of the U.S. Army’s positioning, navigation and risk reduction efforts.
Mike Jones, vice president and general manager of communication and navigation products for Rockwell Collins, said Wednesday the companies would build pseudolite systems with the goal to help the Army deploy positioning, navigation and timing technologies on the battlefield.
The integrated communications and information technology services build upon the collaboration between DataPath and its former parent company Rockwell Collins.
“During the five years that DataPath was part of Rockwell Collins, we shared a variety of best practices, technical capabilities and working relationships,†said David Myers, president and CEO of DataPath.
Myers added that DataPath and Rockwell Collins’ partnership would seek to leverage the “agility of a small business with the scalability of a large organization.â€
