Ronald Sugar, a former chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman, has joined the board of directors at Phoenix-based cybersecurity technology company BeyondTrust.
Sugar led the Falls Church, Va.-based aerospace and defense contractor as chief executive from 2003 to 2010, when he was succeeded by then-Chief Operating Officer Wes Bush as CEO.
He previously served as chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association, was a member of the National Academy of Engineering and was a fellow of both the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society, BeyondTrust said Tuesday.
“We look forward to tapping his wealth of strategic insights and executive experience to continue BeyondTrust’s growth,†said Kevin Hickey, president and CEO of BeyondTrust.
Sugar was also a member of the boards of directors of Apple and Chevron, served as a director of both Amgen and Air Lease, and held a senior adviser role Ares Management LLC and Singapore’s Temasek.
He was appointed to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee for then-President Bill Clinton’s administration.
