UnisysA Unisys subsidiary in Belgium has received work worth $900 million from the European Commission under three lots of the External Service Provision for Development, Studies and Support for Information Systems III framework contract.

The company said Thursday Unisys Belgium will work with partners as part of three separate consortia to provide analytics, project management and consultancy services, functional and business support as well as development requirements for IT environments.

According to Unisys, it leads the first two consortia while its partner Trasys Group heads the third.

Unisys added that it will send an initial 160 staff to EC offices in Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy, while the consortia will send an overall number of approximately 1,900 IT workers across Europe.

ESP-DESIS III is the Commission’s largest framework contract and includes four lots for IT services and support for at least 40,000 employees.

The total anticipated Unisys revenue from the three lots in which it was included is $100 million over four years, the company said.
