Computer Sciences Corp. has expanded its partnership with IBM to help enterprise clients accelerate development of cloud business applications with IBM’s Bluemix platform-as-a-service offering.
The agreement allows CSC to offer the IBM technology to developers and customers who aim to build computing tools for on-premises, private, public or hybrid cloud environments, IBM said Monday.
Steve Robinson, general manager for IBM’s cloud platform services unit, said the company aims to accelerate use of Bluemix globally as well as to spur migration to cloud infrastructure through the partnership.
IBM and CSC plan to offer enablement workshops for cloud app developers and give joint customers an opportunity to collaborate with entrepreneurs, mentors and business accelerators at Bluemix Garage events.
The two technology firms have collaborated to offer cloud-based mobility, big data, analytics and digital offerings that aim to address organizations’ agility and cost issues.
