Northrop Grumman has introduced a mobile command and control technology that aims to provide military users with a unified view of battlespace data during joint operations.
The company is demonstrating its Citadel Enterprise Battle Command System at the ongoing International Defence Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Northrop said Monday.
Dan Verwiel, vice president and general manager for the air and missile defense division at Northrop’s information system business, said the platform is built to use a cyber defense mechanism.
“It is also designed for enduring protection with total system lifecycle affordability and the ability to upgrade for adapting to evolving threats,” Verwiel added.
The company developed Citadel to link weapon systems and sensors, offer a wide area surveillance coverage and help commanders manage air and missile defense systems.
