DynCorp International has received a one-year, $27.8 million contract extension to help the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection maintain aerial vehicles the agency uses when it responds to wildfires.
The company said Wednesday it will continue to provide maintenance, repair and modification services for the agency’s fleet of OV-10A observation aircraft, S-2T tankers and UH-1H transport helicopters.
“DI has supported CAL FIRE since 2001, and our team members take great pride in being able to augment the efforts that save lives, property and natural resources throughout the state of California,†said Jim Myles, senior vice president of DI’s DynAviation business group.
The company will also manufacture airframes, engines, propellers, rotors and other components for the state’s firefighting aircraft fleet.
