A Huntington Ingalls Industries division has received the Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve’s ProPatria award for its support to employees who are members of the U.S. National Guard and Reserve forces.
HII said Thursday Jeff Bruno, manager of risk management at the company and a recipient of ESGR’s 2014 Patriot Award, accepted the award on behalf of Ingalls Shipbuilding during a ceremony.
Bruno’s own award made the company eligible for the ProPatria award, HII noted.
“It takes time, dedication and commitment to support your military service branch, your family and your company so we strive to do our part as an employer to give our employees the flexibility they need to accomplish all this,” said Edmond Hughes, vice president of human resources and administration at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Mississippi’s ESGR State Chair James Wallace and Mississippi National Guard Maj. Gen. Augustus Collins presented the ProPatria award to Ingalls Shipbuilding.
