A new report by the Creating IT Futures Foundation discusses how developments in social media, mobility, data analytics and cloud technologies contribute to technology convergence and shape the transformation of government.
The foundation said Tuesday the “Federal Technology Convergence Commission Report” to the Office of Science and Technology Policy states that the interconnectivity of technologies continues to change the federal IT landscape.
“Our connected world is giving rise to new ways to drive innovation, progress, efficiency, and value creation,” noted Kay Kapoor, president of AT&T‘s government solutions business and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015.
“This report provides insights and ideas about how key connectivity technologies used in combination can help our government improve mission delivery at home and abroad.”
The Creating IT Futures Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the nonprofit trade association CompTIA.
“We see the Technology Convergence Commission Report as the first collaborative step between industry and the government to advance the adoption of emerging technologies,” added Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive officer of CompTIA.
