Raytheon and Boeing have teamed up to develop a C5I (command, control, communications, computers, cyber and intelligence) system for the Royal Saudi Air Force in a move to help the service modernize its command and control platform.
ThalesRaytheonSystems, a joint venture between Raytheon and Thales, and Raytheon Atheeb Systems, Raytheon and Atheeb Group’s joint venture in Saudi Arabia, will lead the project, Raytheon said Tuesday.
Paul Geery, vice president of Boeing’s C3 services, said Raytheon and Boeing will combine their defense systems services to support RSAF’s effort to upgrade its fleet of aircraft, including the F-15SA.
“Boeing has enjoyed a partnership with Saudi Arabia for nearly 70 years, so working with Raytheon to modernize the RSAF’s command and control capability is important to us,” added Geery.
Raytheon will supplement the command and control system for RSAF with its Command View-based C5I systems.
