Research and Markets: Cloud to Drive Defense Logistics Information Systems Market Through 2019

A new Research and Markets report forecasts the defense logistics information systems market in the U.S. to grow at an annual compound rate of 3.56 percent by 2019.

The market will see growth in the adoption of cloud computing and service-oriented architecture-based services between 2014 and 2019, Research and Markets said Monday.

Research and Markets cites “increased defense expenditure” as one driver that will spur growth of the DLIS market in the U.S.

“The market witnessed an increase in defense IT spending and this increased expenditure will facilitate IT research, which will further enhance the operational efficiency of DLIS applications,” the market research firm says.

The report also attributes growth restriction in the market to “high maintenance costs of DLIS applications.”
