Modern Technology Solutions Inc. has received a Heart of the Community Award from Virginia-based nonprofit Hopkins House for the company’s local- and national-level corporate citizenship programs.
“Embracing our ‘Social Responsibility’ core value is a part of who we are and we pledge to continue our commitment begun 20 plus years ago to give back to our communities by helping those in need,” Kevin Robinson, MTSI president and CEO, said Wednesday.
He noted that employees have made donations, volunteered and provided other support for the company’s charity and fundraising efforts.
MTSI and other award recipients will be honored at a ceremony on February 13.
Tickets to the award luncheon are available for $75 each, which will go to the Hopkins House Children’s Scholarship Fund.
“Over the past four years, through this very special awards event and the support of our many generous donors, we have provided 239 scholarships to preschoolers, totaling more than $457,000,” said Hopkins House President J. Glenn Hopkins.
