Harris RF Communications will provide the Air National Guard with ground-to-air vehicle communication systems and associated installation, training and other services to support the exchange of voice and data during emergency response and combat missions.
The company said Tuesday the five-channel system includes the Falcon III AN/PRC-117G manpack radio, RF-7800I vehicle intercom system and Unity XG-100M mobile radio.
“The system will allow the ANG to quickly respond to calls for assistance, establish communications and coordinate missions with local authorities,” said George Helm, president of Harris RF Communications‘ Defense Department business.
He added that it also features system integration functions for tactical and land mobile radios.
