cybersecuritySecureKey Technologies has received the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board provisional authority to operate for the company’s briidge.net exchange cloud-based identity and authentication platform after a review by third-party assessor Veris Group.

The platform will work to help citizens use Connect.gov and access digital government services with government-approved, commercially issued online credentials, SecureKey said Tuesday.

“Looking ahead to a digital future, identity services will be vital to ensure individuals can simply, quickly and securely access the information they need to interact with government programs and services,” said Charles Walton, SecureKey CEO.

The company said briidge.net exchange works as the core infrastructure for Connect.gov, which it built for the U.S. Postal Service in partnership with HP.

“We look forward to launching this service in 2015 for the benefit of individuals and agencies,” said Doug Glair, manager of digital identity services at USPS.

Michael Carter, vice president of commercial programs for Veris, said SecureKey intends to help millions of citizens stay secure when they use Connect.gov.
