Rene LaVigne is the president and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies, a Chantilly, Va.-based information technology contractor that works with customers in the public and private sectors.
Before joining Iron Bow, formerly known as Apptis Technology Solutions, he served as president of the computing system division at Northrop Grumman and held leadership positions at Federal Data Corp. until that company’s acquisition by Northrop.
LaVigne also spent nearly a decade Ernst & Young in Los Angeles and Washington.
Before joining the IT sector, he developed his financial and business management backround through roles in the public accounting, auditing and business advisory service markets.
A certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs, LaVigne earned a bachelor’s degree accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1983.
LaVigne is member of the board of directors of the Technology Council of Maryland, Prince George’s Community College Foundation and is the chairman of the board at Doctors Community Hospital.
He also served a one-year term in 1993 as the president of the National Association of Black Accountants’Â Washington chapter.
