Detroit-based power company DTE Energy has awarded a one-year contract extension for call center and information technology services to ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI).

ICF said Thursday it will continue to work with DTE on programs in areas such as heating and cooling, insulation and windows, home energy analysis and improvements, lighting and appliance and low-income resident programs.

“ICF recognizes the current challenges utilities face in meeting energy efficiency goals in an environment of lower avoided energy costs and increasing codes and standards,” said David Pickles, a senior vice president at ICF.

“We continuously look at long-term solutions for improving design and implementation with more strategic implementation strategies, and use of data analytics, and technology and innovative marketing tools to ensure our clients’ programs maintain their cost effectiveness.”

ICF will continue its implementation services and also work with DTE to process rebates under the contract.
