McKesson Corp. plans a $10 million investment to expand the headquarters operations of its medical technology products business in Henrico County, Virginia.
Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s office said Thursday that McKesson Medical-Surgical will also move to a 168,500-square-foot office space in the Deep Run III building.
McKesson Medical-Surgical offers technology products designed to help healthcare organizations manage their financial, supply chain and clinical operations.
Stanton McComb, president of McKesson Medical-Surgical, said the business aims to build a collaborative work environment for its employees as well as help providers deliver care.
The Virginia government will back the expansion project by offering $500,000 in state grants from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund and support employee training through the state’s Job Investment Program.
Officials expect the McKesson facility to create as many as 225 new jobs in the coming years.
