Wayne Bobby, vice president of federal government solutions at Infor, believes predictive analytics software can help agencies find the right talent to succeed retiring federal workers and to fill critical roles.
Bobby writes in an FCW article published Tuesday that analytics-based talent science technology is designed for human resources personnel to assess cognitive, behavioral and cultural qualities of job applicants.
“By applying talent science principles and technology to human capital management processes, agencies can create a completely new model to choose the right employee for the right job,” he stated.
He thinks information technology can aid federal government’s efforts to address an impending shortage of skilled employees across the federal government.
Congress is considering the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act, which aims to improve government services delivery through IT adoption, according to Bobby.
