The U.S. Air Force has asked industry to submit information on a directional tactical data links and networks that are designed to work at higher frequencies.
A Nov. 18 request for information calls for details on industry offerings and research and development efforts on tactical data links and interoperable networking systems.
The service also seeks industry input on waveform agility to create capacity, latency, jam resistance and detectability trades for different missions.
The Air Force wants to balance the technical aspects of the project such as the antennas and power amplifiers, radios and modems, link and topology control, network and system control, multi-mission/multi-function RF subsystems and system architecture.
Submissions for the request are due on Dec. 12.
