Verizon announced that it has joined forces with FireEye to come up with new cyber defense products designed to be more flexible in addressing a fast-changing threat landscape.
The partnership will pull resources from the two companies’ workforces, global networks and customer basse, FireEye CEO Dave DeWalt said Wednesday.
Kathie Miley, executive director of global security solutions at Verizon, indicated that the threat protection tool would be initially offered for the mobile platform and later as part of the company’s managed security service pack as early as the first quarter of 2015.
“The fusion of the two organizations, especially with our intelligence capabilities, is very much needed given the current state of cyber threats,†Miley said.
