Rockwell Collins and Elbit Systems of America have jointly launched a new night vision tool for pilots of fixed-wing aircraft.
The digital eye piece night vision cueing display is built to be compatible with all joint helmet-mounted cueing system displays, Elbit Systems said Monday.
“Providing this key capability will enable pilots with a greater ability to perform successful nighttime missions,” said Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of airborne solutions for Rockwell Collins.
The companies combined JHMCS’ near zero latency tracking system with a digital eye piece to develop the new equipment.
