QTS Realty Trust is set to become the latest cloud service provider to reach FedRAMP Ready status with its QTS Federal Cloud infrastructure as a service solution.
The company said Tuesday QTS Federal Cloud’s third-party assessment results and other documentation are now under readiness review from the FedRAMP Program Management Office.
The FedRAMP Ready category under the General Services Administration’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program provides potential government clients with a list of compliant systems that they can use to set up their cloud.
“Security and compliance are top priorities for QTS and we are proud to be among the first cloud service providers on the FedRAMP Ready list,” said John Lind, vice president of federal sales at QTS.
“We have applied our rigorous approach to all aspects of the QTS Federal Cloud and look forward to working with federal agencies that are seeking to assess and authorize a highly secure, scalable, high-performing cloud solution.”
The company said QTS Federal Cloud uses VMware, EMC and Cisco technologies and solutions, with data centers located in Atlanta and Richmond.
Cybersecurity services company Veris Group was the third-party accredited assessor for QTS.
