Rafael Awards Raytheon $150M for Iron Dome Components; Taylor Lawrence Comments

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems‘ has awarded a $149.3 million subcontract to Raytheon to build interceptor components for the Iron Dome weapon.

Raytheon’s technology resources and network will serve as second supply source of Iron Dome interceptor parts, the company said Tuesday.

“The sourcing of Tamir interceptor components in the U.S. will go a long way to ensuring sufficient volumes of available Tamir missiles for Israel’s defense,” said Taylor Lawrence, Raytheon missile systems president.

This deal extends Raytheon’s and Rafael’s 2011 co-marketing agreement for Iron Dome.
