Anderson_WesWes Anderson serves as vice president of worldwide public sector services at Microsoft, where he oversees the software maker’s provision of services and support to public sector customers in the government and education sectors across the world.

He joined Microsoft in 1998 as an account executive for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps accounts and has held several sales and management roles on the Navy team.

Some of Anderson’s other roles at Microsoft have included work to incubate new businesses in areas such as knowledge management and to create Microsoft’s business focused on national security services.

Anderson was promoted to general manager of the federal business after his stint at the national security services business, then elevated to his current role from the GM post.

He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from National University in Los Angeles and completed an executive education program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
