Boeing sought to highlight the company’s activities and showcase its latest fighter aircraft, artillery and battlefield systems at the Air Force Association’s annual aerospace expo.

Boeing said Sept. 9 that Chris Chadwick, CEO for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, was scheduled to address participants and the media with a speech on industry developments at the Sept. 15-17 event.

Developers of its C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft were later slated to be honored with the 2014 John R. Alison Award during the Air Force anniversary dinner Wednesday.

Recipients of the John R. Alison Award are acknowledged for their industry leadership and achievements in advancing defense technology.

AFA’s three-day Air and Space Conference & Technology Exposition was held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
