Mark DeYoung, president and chief executive officer of ATK and vice chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation board of directors, has been elected to serve as the CSF board chair beginning January 2015.
“The CSF … [works] with Congress, governors, and state legislatures to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting and trapping,” DeYoung noted Thursday.
DeYoung also heads ATK’s Vista Outdoor sporting business spinoff as chairman and CEO.
The company said it aims to facilitate hunter education, firearms handling, storage safety and environmental stewardship, and conservation initiatives.
A hunter and angler, DeYoung is also a member of wildlife and sporting organizations such as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and National Rifle Association and is a former chair of the Wildlife Management Institute.
CSF support the federal-level Congressional Sportsman’s Caucus.
