Red Hat has announced the September release of its cloud management solution suited for private, public and hybrid setups, with upgrades and additional features for various environments.
CloudForms 3.1, which helps network administrators jointly manage OpenStack, Amazon Web Services, VMware and Red Hat enterprise virtualization platforms, now includes support for Microsoft System Center’s Virtual Machine Manager, the company said Monday.
The new CloudForms also feature enhancements in the user interface, workflow execution, security and interoperability, it added.
Joseph Fitzgerald, Red Hat general manager for cloud management, said Cloudforms 3.1 allows clients to build on “their existing infrastructures together with public clouds, as well as build and manage innovative new private clouds” relying on the OpenStack platform.
