Lockheed Martin will help the Bahrain International Airport calculate and analyze route cases under a new contract with the Bahrain Airport Company to implement the BEONTRA B Route Development tool at the airport.
Lockheed said Wednesday this would be the first implementation of the route analysis product in the Middle East following its acquisition of BEONTRA earlier this year.
“We are excited to support BAC in further developing Bahrain’s route network and assisting them in the transformation of their passenger experience,” said Christian Roth, CEO of BEONTRA.
According to Lockheed, BEONTRA B Route Development uses data from Sabre MIDT, OAG and airport survey and statistics to develop and present route cases in a graphical format to aid analysis.
The Bahrain airport has served an estimated 7 million passengers in the previous year and houses the country’s Gulf Air airline.
