A Northrop Grumman business unit has won a contract to provide German shipping firm Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG with its integrated bridge system package, including navigation and radio systems, for seven bulk carrier ships.
Jeanne Usher, managing director of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, said Monday the contract extends the company’s ongoing partnership with Peter Döhle.
The integrated bridge systems include VisionMaster FT radars, the VoyageMaster G4 voyage data recorder, magnetic compass system, echosounder, gyrocompass and an autopilot and steering control system, among other components.
Northrop said these will be delivered to the Jiangsu Hantong Shipyard in China from April 2015 up to September 2016.
