Al Kinney is HP Enterprise Services’ acting vice president of the cybersecurity solutions group for its U.S. public sector.
In this role, he is responsible for development, marketing and delivery of identity management, software assurance and cyber situational awareness services across federal, state & local, and selected international markets.
Prior to HP, Kinney was the principal scientist at Northrop Grumman’s cyberspace solutions center.
He remains active in the academic community as a member of the cybersecurity advisory board at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and as an adjunct professor at the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering.
A retired Naval officer, Kinney has more than 25 years of experience in leadership, aviation, intelligence, research and cybersecurity mission areas.
He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, a command and staff diploma from the Naval War College and a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.
