Will Grannis, chief technical officer and vice president of engineering at L-3 Communications, leads a team of scientists, engineers and solutions developers to provide customers with C4ISR, big data, cybersecurity and other technical services.
He joined L-3 after its acquisition of What’s Next, where he drove big data and cybersecurity support for the intelligence community and the Energy Department as the company’s founder and CEO.
Grannis has also previously served as head of ISR, cyber and information solutions at Boeing‘s Phantom Works division and established both a partner ecosystem and new lines of business.
A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Grannis has worked with military and defense organizations as well as private sector businesses in both domestic and international assignments.
He is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, the National Military Intelligence Association and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and consults for The Economist, Fortune Magazine and McKinsey Quarterly on innovation.
