Donna Gregg, former mission area executive for cyber operations at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, has moved into a new role as head of the lab’s asymmetric operations sector.
Gregg will be responsible for overseeing APL’s work in cyber operations, homeland protection and special operations, the lab said Friday.
She assumes the role previously held by 40-year APL veteran Dan Phillips, who retired in June.
Gregg holds a background in a variety of technical and leadership roles at APL and started there as a mathematician in 1984.
Between 2005 and 2011, she served first as the information systems branch supervisor and then managing executive for the applied information sciences department.
