Salesforce.com plans to open fresh data centers in Canada in a move to fulfill the growing cloud computing demand in the country.
The new data centers are intended to complement Salesforce’s existing cloud computing services across its customer base in the country, Salesforce.com said Wednesday.
“Canada is a critical part of our global strategy and our plans for Canadian data centres reflect that,” said Mike Rosenbaum, executive vice president of platform for salesforce.com.
“This increased commitment reflects the fact that more and more leading Canadian companies are turning to salesforce.com to connect with their customers in a whole new way,†added Rosenbaum.
Salesforce also announced at the Salesforce1 World Tour Toronto that it has added BRP and Manulife to its Canadian client base.
