Unisys has introduced a new data collection tool for police authorities and public safety agencies to perform investigations and gather intelligence.
The Unisys Law Enforcement Application Framework is designed to help users log criminal investigation-related evidence and intelligence data, Unisys said Tuesday.
John Wright, global director of public safety and justice at Unisys, said the tool works to help law enforcement, security and intelligence agencies find investigation-related links and collaborate to detect and prevent crimes.
U-LEAF features a browser-based interface with different analytical views of crime information.
The company designed the tool to help agencies fulfill policing, national security, immigration and citizenship enforcement, military and finance requirements.
Unisys built the framework to consolidate data from different applications and share the information across multiple agencies.
