Jacobs Engineering Group says it has observed a growing footprint of the company in the telecommunications sector.
Jacobs has won contracts totaling more than $80 million from U.S. wireless carriers, tower companies and public sector agencies since January, the company said Tuesday.
The company will perform operations support, maintenance, construction work, network deployment, site acquisition and engineering support services under those contracts.
Patrick Hill, Jacobs group vice president, said the company will work to develop business models for technology deployment in order to meet customer requirements.
Jacobs recently acquired Compass Technology Services and FMHC Corp. in a move to expand its telecommunications offerings.
