Thales has been selected by the French prime minister’s office to implement service platforms to offer secure Internet connections for nearly one million future users of the French government.
The company plans to build the IT setup, provide managed services and carry out round-the-clock network supervision, the company said Thursday.
According to Thales, the service platforms will work to enable connections for approximately 200,000 users as early as 2015 to filter data to and from the Internet.
Thales also aims to develop a standardized level of security tailored to each and every government consumer.
