Citrix Systems has gained approval from the General Services Administration for the company’s mobile workspace tool as a potential mobile device and application management source.
XenMobile is built for users to manage mobile, Web and software applications, data and devices, Citrix said Wednesday.
“Citrix XenMobile provides the flexibility and mobility that users require while meeting IT compliance and control needs,†said Tom Simmons, area vice president for public sector at Citrix.
“We are proud that the GSA has selected Citrix XenMobile as an approved potential source of mobile device and application management solutions,†Simmons added.
Citrix recently introduced a new version of XenMobile with Federal Information Processing Standards 140-2-compliant mobile encryption for email, browser and data.
The XenMobile tool provides enterprise mobile device management, integrated app store, mobile productivity apps and multi-factor single sign-on systems.
