new-microsoft-logo_EMMicrosoft has opened a cybersecurity accelerator hub in Israel in a move to mentor startup businesses in the country, the Washington Post reported Thursday.

Mohana Ravindranath writes Microsoft Ventures has partnered with Jerusalem Venture Partners to establish the new cybersecurity program at Microsoft’s center in Herzeliya, Israel.

Microsoft will provide mentorship and software access to between six and eight cybersecurity startups between September 2014 and January 2015, according to the report.

The Post reports Jerusalem Venture Partners is also set to pump $1 million into one of the businesses at the end of the program, the Post reports.
