NCR Corp. has been chosen by Qatar Islamic Bank to supply hardware and software products that are designed to safeguard automated teller machines against hackers.
The bank selected NCR’s Solidcore Suite for APTRA platform to keep unauthorized codes from entering QIB banking networks, NCR said Monday.
NCR will also provide its Skimming Protection Solution to QIB with the aim of protecting customers from card skimming incidents.
The company will update the bank’s IT infrastructure to incorporate network access control, telephony and data center switch technologies.
NCR will also help QIB upgrade its ATMs to operate on Windows 7.
