Boston Medical Center has transitioned its database environment to an Oracle-built application in a move to consolidate its health data management.
LCN Technology, a Gold level member of Oracle’s PartnerNetwork, has worked to assist the medical center implement the database appliance with Oracle database and application clusters, Oracle said Tuesday.
Boston Medical Center aims to reduce costs in storage, engineering and multiple-vendor management with the software and hardware package, according to the company.
Peter Misticawi, director of integration at Boston Medical Center, said Oracle’s digital health technologies are intended to help coordinate care and enhance operations.
The center’s data management team has been integrated into a single database appliance administrator.
Boston Medical Center is Boston University School of Medicine’s teaching affiliate.
