BAE Systems Completes Aircraft Survivability Tool Design Review; Bill Staib Comments

BAE Systems has completed the design review for its aircraft survivability equipment intended to help detect missile threats.

The tool has been updated to work with other survivability technologies by obtaining data from radar and laser warning receivers, BAE Systems said Wednesday.

BAE Systems intends for the equipment to help minimize workloads for U.S. Army troops and enhance survivability through an integrated interface for data monitoring function.

“The newest version builds on the success of the existing technology and delivers enhanced integration and survivability capabilities to our armed forces,” said Bill Staib, director of threat management services at BAE Systems.

The tool features an ultra-violet sensor for long-range threat detection in harsh environments.
